You may have seen on JOPO’s newsletter and Facebook posts that we are holding a Tapping workshop Sunday 24th September – 11am to 3pm. Well, if you are like many people, you may not know exactly what this is. I thought this would be a great opportunity to share with you the many benefits of this technique, so you too can enjoy your life to the maximum!
Many people live their day to day lives carrying chronic pain, emotional trauma, addictions, anxiety and so many more problems, and have tried the ‘usual’ methods of dealing with it. They usually find that medicines prescribed by a doctor may temporarily ease the condition, but it only masks the core problem. This leads to just accepting a lifestyle, rather than really living your life and being in control of the many triggers that can cause the condition to rear its ugly head, time after time.
This is where tapping comes into play.
You see, tapping provides relief from chronic pain, emotional problems, disorders, addictions, phobias, post traumatic stress disorder, and physical diseases and so much more! You can take your physical and emotional well-being into your own hands. It’s simple for anyone to master, and it’s free.
It has been over 5000 years since the healing concepts of tapping have evolved. Just like acupuncture, tapping is a set of techniques where your body utilizes the key meridian points to stimulate and literally tap into your body’s own energy and healing power.
So How Does It Work?
As you know, everything is energy. So all negative emotions can disrupt the body’s energy. Physical pain and disease are very closely connected to negative emotions. So the body’s health can be approached by looking at an overall picture of your emotional state – is it positive? By restoring balance to the body’s energy, you will repair the negative emotions and physical symptoms that stem from the energy disruption. Tapping restores the body’s energy balance, and negative emotions are conquered.
The basic technique of tapping requires you to focus on the negative emotion at hand: a fear or anxiety, a bad memory, an unresolved problem, or anything that’s bothering you. While maintaining your mental focus on this issue, use your fingertips to tap on the body’s meridian points.
Tapping on these meridian points – while concentrating on accepting and resolving the negative emotion – will access your body’s energy, restoring it to a balanced state.
In our workshop, Lynn will explain in detail the body’s meridian points and how to tap and how many times to tap. She will show you exactly how it is done, giving you the confidence to ‘look after’ and once again take control of your own health, without the need of medication.
